The final and most powerful Duo — a PowerPC 603e in the same slim chassis that had defined the line since 1992. The 2300c was a transitional product: a modern processor in a design that was already four years old. Apple discontinued the entire Duo line in 1997, but the concept of an ultra-thin laptop that docks for full functionality anticipated a conversation that would recur with every MacBook Air.
