Apple's return to the external display market after a five-year gap following the Thunderbolt Display's discontinuation. The Pro Display XDR — introduced at WWDC 2019 alongside the Mac Pro — offered a 32-inch 6K Retina panel with extreme dynamic range, P3 wide color, and 1,000 nits sustained brightness. At $4,999 (plus $999 for the stand), it was unambiguously a professional tool. The optional nano-texture glass added $1,000 more. It is the finest display Apple has ever shipped, and it is priced accordingly.
